Zoom session today at 1 pm
Discussing automation, GenAI, outsourcing options, cybersecurity, and online marketing
I hope you can join me and the Inner Circle members today at 1 pm CENTRAL time for a lively, informative discussion that is guaranteed to improve your practice in several ways.
What will we discuss?
We will discuss the usual topics, such as:
Operations & Systems
Automation & AI (e.g. ChatGPT)
Outsourcing (i.e., overseas VAs)
Cybersecurity & Privacy
Online Marketing
For example, here are some specific things we will probably discuss.
Artificial Intelligence
Apple users should watch this crisp video review of new AI features coming to Apple devices
A federal circuit judge recently detailed (in a written opinion) his astonishment with GenAI and explained how it's likely to be helpful for certain types of judicial decision-making.
There's a new service to create headshots using AI that are exquisitely professional, inexpensive, and worth checking out.
Privacy & Security
A spam-fighting service that one Inner Circle member recommended, saying "spam calls have dropped something like 90%."
Gentle reminder: if you're not using a password manager you should start doing so, and this is the one I recommend most.
Operations & Systems
A member adopted this Kanban workflow tool (that integrates with Clio) and wants to know how to get better use out of it (spoiler: improving buy-in is the first important step). Let's talk about the best practices for improving buy-in.
Many lawyers want to know more about using overseas VAs along the lines of NY business lawyer Gabriel Marous, who has 10 full-time VAs working from the Philippines.
If you want to take a first step into outsourcing, I recommend starting with FancyHands (for the reasons I explain here).
Marketing
Getting new clients is an ongoing challenge for lawyers, and so many try their hand at online marketing, which is powerful but even more challenging than traditional marketing. Here's my best advice, concisely explained.
Most attorneys waste too much time (and money) on social media, so I recommend that you understand the fundamentals first.
The best leverage in marketing is embodied in a lesson comedian Steve Martin described in his two-part documentary on AppleTV. It's not something I can explain quickly here, so I'll discuss it in our Zoom session if attendees are interested.
I hope you can make it, but if not, check out those links above.
